COOK, SUSHI

SpaceXSI is looking for passionate, experienced individuals looking to join our culinary team! The Cook plays a crucial role in the culinary department by overseeing kitchen inventory, focusing on food preparation set up.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and monitor inventory levels and ingredients

Assist in establishing menu specifications

Maintain quality by ensuring products are prepared according to guidelines

Enforce food quality

Ensure safety of physical kitchen and café space

Assist with and distribute work schedules

Oversee front-of-house food preparation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

3+ years experience in restaurant or food service production

Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience working in a sushi kitchen

Degree in culinary arts

High volume production and catering experience

Proven ability to create innovative menus on a daily basis

Ability to perform under pressure

Excellent communication skills

Possess a creative spirit and ability to make the culinary experience part of the SpaceXSI culture

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day

Ability to sit up to 3 hours per day

Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day

Ability to reach overhead up to 1 hour per day

Ability to walk up to 3 hours per day

Ability to lift or carry up to 25 lbs. (unassisted) 2 hours or longer per day

Ability to climb (ladder/stairs) up to 1 hour per day

Ability to kneel or crouch up to 6 hours per day

Ability to twist the upper body up to 1 hour per day

Ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees up to 1 hour per day

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$32.5 - $35 USD per hour

Hourly pay is just one part of our total rewards package at SpaceXSI. Specific benefits vary by country, depending on your country of residence you may have access to medical benefits. We do not offer benefits for part-time roles.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
